EPO-Board of Appeal Proceedings

„For 14 years Graham Ashley was a member of a EPO board of appeal, the last 7 of which he was Chairman of a Board in mechanics and member of the Enlarged Board of Appeal. During this time he chaired over 500 cases. His Board was instrumental in establishing the convergence principle, which raises the admissability bar for the parties. In his presentation, he will explain to us the main guidelines for amendments in the appeal procedure and describe the practical implementation of the convergence principle at the EPO. Following the lecture, he will be available for discussion and questions, which are moderated by Ms. Kirchhofer.”
