women in ip e.V. promotes the networking and the exchange of experience among women working in the field of intellectual property.
women in ip e.V. is a non-profit organization for the encouragement and communication of women who are active in the field of intellectual property. We are an association of various IP professionals, such as patent attorneys and lawyers, judges, patent examiners, professors, patent engineers, candidates, and members of the opposition and appeal boards of the European Patent Office. With women in ip we create a platform for the networking of IP professionals in order to exchange experiences and knowledge, also in the context of our mentoring programme. Our organization is supported by a top-class board of trustees.
Our aim is to promote the networking, chances of advancement, development and commitment of women working in the field of industrial property protection and to stimulate and encourage expert discussions between the women working there. For this purpose, we organize lectures and discussions with high-ranking experts in their fields, conferences, so-called forums, and various educational events at a national and international level. These events aim to stimulate the exchange of experience and the transfer of knowledge among our members and participants. We are particularly passionate about our mentoring programme, in which experienced members of our association are available as mentors for other less experienced members and form a tandem for the duration of one year. The feedback from participants of the programme confirms the valuable experience of a mentorate for both the mentor and the mentee.
We organise two women in ip forums each year, one in English and one in German language. In addition, we offer trainings that are specially tailored to women working in the IP sector.
Exchange of experience through mentoring: Members have the opportunity to participate in our mentoring programme as mentees. We bring mentees and mentors together as tandems for 12 months.
We bring together women from various fields of IP in order to promote and strengthen the exchange of experience and cooperation in a professional context and to break new ground together.
